Description

A brown gossan has an area of black manganese oxides coating it with three or four deep orange raspite crystals as is often seen from Broken Hill.

What makes this specimen different are the hundred of clear to pale yellow orange raspite crystals growing directly on the gossan, ther pale colour all but matching the matrix, you just have to move the specimen a little to see the light catch the hundreds of crystal faces. they may be small but this is an extremely rich specimen from the type locality.
