Description

A plastic box measuring 2.5 x 2.5 cm contains numerous sharp angular pieces of crystallised pseudorutile. Whilst Carapooee is not the type locality it is the second Australian occurrence and produced eye visible material. Now closed, the specimens of pseudorutile from Carapooee (which is located south of the old gold mining township of St Arnaud in the Northern Grampians Range), must be hand sorted under magnification from a range of other heavy metals including gold.
