Description

Achtaragdite is a varietal name for hydrogrossular from the Vilyui Basin in Siberia. This ash coloured mineral is well crystals and richly disseminated through the cabinet specimen, both as complete and partial crystals.

There are also a number of wiluite crystals in the matrix. An interesting specimen and good example of pseudomorphism.
