Description

A thin slab of garnet sandstone typical of broken Hill is coated with a creamy colour mixture of smithsonite & cerussite on to which has grown fernlike sprays of native copper.

The native copper has altered to cuprite and been further altered on the surface to a mixture of paratacamite and malachite.

Scattered across the specimens main face are crusts and micro tuffed balls of connellite and some minor linarite. This specimen is a visual treat under magnification
