Description

This is a big copper from the copper district in Michigan. It is a flatish sheet of copper remove from the matrix and features coursely crystallised copper with crystals to 1.5 cm along its edges.

There is a bit of a story to this specimen, known as the boomerang copper, the dealer I purchased this from had acquired it in the US in the late 1970's from a dealer who had sold it twice previously and it had come back to him, John Weir then bought it back to Australia and subsequently sold it three times, the final time to me in the mid 1980's.

I am now overing it for sale for the third time, having had it back once in trade and on the second occassion as part of a bulk specimen buy.
