Dikuluwe Mine, Kolwezi, Lualaba, DR Congo
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
3.1 × 6.8 × 3.7 cm

1.40cm
Description

A dark red translucent cuprite dominates on end of the display face of this specimen. The cuprite is twinned and has a number of smaller crystals attached to one side.

The cuprite is sharply contrasted by a matrix of chrysocolla that would make a very interesting specimen in its own right. This is a good cuprite recovered in the late 1980's.
