Description

This multi generational fluorite specimen is from the Mt Garnet skarn deposits in remote North Queensland. The first generation of octahedral fluorite has been completely covered by druzy white quartz on to which a second generation of transparent pale green fluorite crystals has formed.

This second generation has a slightly frosted surface fluorite and are cubes with modified octahedral faces.

This specimen was field collected by Martin Rosser in the 1980's.
