Description

Work is still being done on this material to determine whether it is dravite or schorl, the concensus at the moment is that that it is an intergrowth of the two.

This doubly terminated crystals possess a number of questions regarding it formation, it appears to have been partly de-solved and then recrystallised, during this second growth stage micro red spessartine garnets have formed on its surface.

This garnets give an occasional flash as this crystal is rotated.
