Description

This specimen was collected from the 1400 level of the Zinc Coporation Mine in Broken Hill.

While Broken Hill has produced millions of tons of galena, crystals of galena from there are exceedingly rare.

This specimen has a number of actual crystals on massive galena and along with the galena there is a cavity spouting acicular bustamite crystals, some Mn hedenbergite and quartz.
