Description

Burra has produced numerous oddities over its long history, this specimen is one of the more unusual. A  quartzite matrix is riddled with small libethenite crystals. A cavity formed the nase of which was lined with libethenite followed by chrysocolla and azurite completely filling the cavity. At some point a number of the libethrnite crystals which are typically dark olive green in colour have been replace by dark blue azurite
