Description

This is an extremely complex multigenerational phosphate mineral specimen, The voids in brecciated phosphatic gossan have been lined with several generations of acicular wavellite crystals, the wavellite has also acted as a bonding agent between the breccia. Over this lining of wavellite a layer of botyroidal hydroxyl apatite has been deposited. in some of the remoaing spaced in the original voids, pearly white spheres of perhamite have formed and in places on the apatite dark brown siderite crystals have formed. The siderite crystals have that twisted dogbone shape.
