Description

Wow! This is one BIG ball filled with rich green cuprian adamite with aragonite and possibly, more green copper minerals are assocaited with the adamite. Although the matrix seems to be calcite, the piece is too heavy and since it was found in a copper rich pocket, I am guessing that there is copper or cuprite underneath that is adding to the density and weight of the specimen. It is large and impressive. About 3/4 of a large sphere that this piece is, are more than enough to offer more than one display angles. Impressive and museum size and quality specimen from Lavrion. From a recent find in the Christiana mine (October 2018).

The piece is large and heavy so please check the shipping costs before bidding.
