Classic Locality

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Mine #6, Agrileza, Sounion, Lavrion, Attiki Prefecture, Greece
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Small miniature (3-4.5 cm)
Size:
3.3 × 2.3 × 1.5 cm
Description

What a combo. Most of the piece is a cluster of malachite pseudos after rosettes of azurite. If you look closely the shape of the azurite crystals on the surface of the balls is nicely preserved. The front has a cluster of calcite in the center and the back shows azurite and a little bit of naturally etched fluorite. The piece also hosts a few microcrystals of cerussite. Crazy.
