Description

Adamite is one of my favorite Greek minerals but it is common and usually too hard to a piece that stands out. In 2017, a great find took place in the Christiana mine, yielding large aggregates of adamite. This is a very fine example from this find with enormous for the locality crystals and aggregates of yellow to lime-greenish adamite, on white calcite. The large aggregate measures 4.2cm!! The two isolated pinwheel-like crystals add to the aesthetics of this superb Greek adamite. From my personal collection.
