Description

Illustrated in Lapis 03/97 page 36, this is a unique, literally one-of-a-kind, excellent hematite specimen from Pentili Mountain near Athens! Such a hematite has never been seen from Greece before, at least I have never seen anything like it. It hosts well-formed and lustrous, stacked hexagonal crystals. The condition is not excellent but this is really a relic for the collector of alpine-type or Greek minerals. Needless to say that the piece is old!
