Madem-Lakko Mine, Cassandra Mines, Aristotelis, Chalkidiki, Central Macedonia, Greece

Small cabinet (7-10 cm)

9.2 × 7.8 × 5.6 cm
Description

This old classic specimen hosts the best-formed crystals of bournonite that I have ever seen from Greece. Most of them have perfect form and luster. They are sitting on a contrasting matrix which is composed of pale rhodochrosite and possibly another carbonate and are associated with small crystals of pyrite and quartz.
