Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Madem-Lakko Mine, Cassandra Mines, Aristotelis, Chalkidiki, Central Macedonia, Greece
Class:
Crystals on Matrix
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)
Size:
5.1 × 4.1 × 3 cm
Description

Fine and cute little crystals of bournonite on a huge for the locality, pentagonal dodecahedron of galena. The galena crystal has some contacts at the back but shows 7 out of the 12 faces of the ideal crystal. It is a remarkable specimen for the form, size and unusual epitaxial growth of the rare locality bournonite. It is better in person with the shape being seen more dinstinctively.
