Description

Here is a rare example of ruby from Greece. Owning a Greek is very hard as they are quite rare and only recently, some of them appeared on the market. The locality is now exhausted. Most of the pieces that came from this remote northern Greek locality have little dots of pale colored corundum var ruby in amphibole schist. You hardly get to see pieces with a ruby mass that exceeds 0.2cm. This is an exception as most of the specimen's mass is composed of ruby. It is a very good, representative and rare locality specimen.
