This is the most unusual and unique type of quartz from seriphos and from the entire country as well. One pocket of those was found in the early 90s by a group of Lavrion collectors that were visiting Seriphos. Ever since, the piece were scattered and went to private collections as they were beautiful and unique. I have seen nothing like it coming out from Seriphos since then. The upper part of the scepter is amethystine quartz with a pale purplish-pinkish color with a sharp and lustrous, trigonal termination. The lower part is green prase quartz. The transition can be seen at the close ups. There is a quite large contact with another crystal at the back and a smaller contact too, but there is no damage there. I had the luck to meet the collectors who found those and they told me that the pieces from the top of the pocket had broken off their bases and fallen in the bottom of the pocket. This is one of the pieces that were on the top so the bottom is broken off and whatever damage is there on the bottom of the prase. Pieces like this are priced highly by all Greek collectors who own one for the rarity and visual impact they have. I bought this one several years ago for a higher price but decided to offer it here at a lower reserve, not far from the start price. A unique and quite large example of quartz from anywhere.
