Kimmeria, Xanthi, East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece
Class:
Single Crystal
Size Range:
Miniature (4.5-7 cm)

4.2 × 4.6 × 1.3 cm
Description

Fine and quite large for the locality, crystal of epidote. The color is mostly dark green but it turns light, olive-green near the terminations. There are multiple little terminations. Good luster and a fine representative specimen for the locality! Please note that crystals up to apx 2cm from this locality are very common but crystals above 3cm are very rare. A 4cm+ crystal like this one is too hard to find and almost impossible now in this exhausted locality.
