8.2 × 5.8 × 5 cm
Description

Here is a good quality aragonite from Lavrion. I will explain the important difference with other specimens you see here: a) you get both the botryoidal aragonite and crystals of aragonite, b) it is aesthetic and in excellent condition, c) it shows luster while most are dull, d) it is "clean" without the usual dark stained areas that give them a dirty look that cannot be fixed with cleaning, e) last but not least, it is not acid treated as the vast majority from Lavrion is. Local miners or dealers often use acids to clean them quickly and effortlessly. However, this etches and destroys the aragonite. Only they never tell and if you don't have the experience to tell the difference you can be easily fooled.
