Description

Several years ago, when it was still possible to find a few pieces in old miners' stashes in Chalkidiki, I remember trying to find a decent quartz specimen for my collection. The vast majority was heavily damaged and of very poor quality. I ended up getting no more than 5 specimens from the whole area. This is one of them. It is a thick, doubly terminated crystal in excellent condition for the locality, with fine luster. The crystal is blurry in the middle and transparent near the terminations. One of the very few decent Chalkidiki quartz you can get today.
