Description

There is a lot going one with this specimen. Firstly there obviously are some nice electric-blue, sparkling crystals of azurite on it. The azurite is mixed with or altering to malachite. Some calcite is also present. What blew my mind when inspecting this piece closely is the fact that the rusty formations that serve as a bed for the azurite and malachite actually is cuprite crystals! The cuprite are ofcourse altered but you can see the shapes of the crystals. A lot of pseudomorphing going on here and a highly interesting specimen! Olivenite may be present too.
