Description

Seriphos is mostly known for prasem quartz so normal quartz is rather uncommon from this locality. Here is a sceptered quartz, quite elongated with an interesting inclusion from the less known Agia Marina locality. This is actually a personal find that comes with a story; It was June of 2009 and I was field-collecting with another collector. I was digging a few meters next to some sort of fence made of rocks and suddenly, an old man came out of a cabin holding a shotgun and blowing a whistle. The old man thought that we were messing with his fence so he threatened us! I picked up a few pieces, left and never went back! We were not in his or anyone's property but it seems that some people can be dangerous! This interesting quartz could have been a real killer!!!
