Description

Sharp prismatic crystals of diopside, that are white with transparent terminations, associated to a carpet of gemmy orange hessonite crystals. On the label it is still described as “alalite”, the old name for diopside, and it is from Testa Ciarva, the type locality.

Ex Ennio Contarini, #3072, who put together a big collection in the first third of the XX Century.
