Description

A pair of parallelly grown crystals of calcite, of acute modified scalenohedral habit of good transparency, that show a brown phantom at the core. They grew on a black lime matrix that is covered by green aggregates of marcasite, forming cockscombs twinned crystals of multi-coloured surfaces. The top of the calcite crystals shows a small cleavage. Mounted in a socle, material from Wellin is extremely rare on the market. Ex Francis Hubert specimen.
