Description

Lustrous gemmy crystals of proustite of superb blood-red colour, with well-exposed terminated crystals, in a heavy matrix of native arsenic. Found at Svornost, “The” super classic locality, because it is the oldest uranium mine in the world and the oldest mine still in use in Europe (source: Mindat). It comes with an original label from Albert Van hee, who visited the mine in 1973.
