Description

Sharp, well-formed of deep blue osumilite of nice hexagonal contour and superb lustre in a volcanic rock, richly lined by translucent tridymite. Some cavities have thin tabular crystals of phlogopite of a rare red colour, that according to the literature, are partially to nearly totally replacement by hematite.

Acquired in 1999. Ex Dr. Bob Janssens specimen #1046.
