Description

Clusters of sharp tabular crystals of “columbite” of black colour and moderate lustre. One crystal is perfectly terminated, while the others are incomplete. The matrix is quartz, feldspar (or montebrasite?) and pink tabular lepidolite. Nice representative specimen form this well-known locality for Li-bearing minerals. It comes with the original label from David Shannon, who exploited the mine for a period to extract collectible specimens.
