Description

This gold specimen features a crystal of black sphalerite as matrix where two crystallized wires pass throw it, one is a flattened wire and the other is a ribbon-like wire. They have the distinctive yellow colour, moderate lustre and have an aerial development that surpass 7 mm. Amazing aesthetic specimen that is mounted on a cubic acrylic socle. Gold in matrix from Japan is scarce nowadays in the market, and this piece is one of the best gold I still have from this classic Japanese mine.

Old specimen, acquired in 1950's, it was from Ing. Felix Azpilicueta Viguera, former mayor of San Sebastian (Spain) in the late 1940’s.
