Description

Shattuckite is uncommon in Kolwezi is this old specimen is formed by gorgeous radial aggregates of deep blue shattuckite with silky reflexes, covering a crust of goethite and black heterogenite. The surface is coated by a thin layer of light blue chrysocolla.

Collected before 1968 by Martíal Borzee, a Belgian colonist to Congo. Ex Martíal Borzee specimen, with label.
