Description

A carpet of cornetite microcrystals of deep blue colour and with good brightness, richly coating a thin pseudomalachite layer of green colour, on a carbonate matrix. Cornetite is very common at the type locality, the Star of the Congo Mine, but quite hard to get such pieces from Kalabi, another classic locality that is very rare in collections.

The sample was collected in 1966 by professor Albert Delvaux (1919-1998).
