Description

From the type locality, this is a classic massive metallic bronze-coloured renierite from Kipushi, very similar geologically to Tsumeb. It is associated to golden chalcopyrite, black sphalerite, blueish bornite and grey limestone.

It is from the collection of Mr. Robert Verdoodt, who was working in the laboratories of Union Minière du Haut-Katanga and evacuated to Belgium after the beginning of the Congo crisis in 1960.
