Description

Very big piece of more than 1 Kg volcanic rock with one face completely covered by nice water clear opal-AN hyalite that looks like frozen water bubbles, and displays a strong green fluorescence under short ultraviolet illumination. This locality material has never been abundant so it is uncommon in collections.

It was collected in the early 1980’s by Herman Torfs (specimen 339), in one of the multiple trips to Greece.
