Description

Fine specimen featuring an elongated orthoclase crystal, variety plumbian orthoclase (= Pb-bearing orthoclase), cleaved at some areas and richly associated to silvery galena crystals. This variety is very rare and this specimen shows a superb glassy, emerald green colour. It is from the North mine, according to the associated label of Trevor Dart, who lived close by and had family working in these mines.
