Description

Rich ivory white coloured specimen of powdery anthoinite from Gako, a remote uncommon locality in Rwanda. Additionally, the specimen shows a significant blueish fluorescence under short UV light, which is not common in these specimens. It is a good size sample, associated to black ferberite, that was collected in the 1960’s by professor Albert Delvaux (1919-1998).

Similar specimens from the same collection and the same batch have been analysed at the Royal Museum for Central Africa (Tervuren, Belgium) and have verify that is anthoinite. A copy of the original label will be delivered with the specimen.
