Description

Sharp octahedral crystals of cuprite replaced by fibrous green malachite pseudomorphs, richly dispersed on a hard brown limonitic matrix. Under the loupe it is clear that the original cuprite were hopper crystals, where edges grew faster that faces, and this morphology is preserved. Nice pseudomorphs from this uncommon locality.

Found by local collectors in 2015.
