Sharp isolated azurite crystals of deep blue colour and intense vitreous lustre, with very well defined edges and faces. In contrast with other Moroccan localities, the copper mines at the Bou Skour have produced a limited amount of crystallized azurite and/or bornite specimens, and a very restricted quantity are available, so the locality is not well represented in collections worldwide.
