Description

Radial fibrous aggregates of anthophyllite of golden colour on matrix. According to the associated label from the Istituto Geo-Mineralogico*, it is from the historical Schneeberg mine (Monteneve Mine), located close to the Wipptal (Vipiteno).

Collected before 1926. Ex Ennio Contarini specimen.

 

*The Istituto Geo-Mineralogico Italiano was a dealing company created by Eugenio Bazzi (1892-1929), to whom Bazzite was named. This was active in a short period of time (from 1915 to 1926), so it is a piece collected before 1926.
