Description

Old specimen of yellow laminar phosphuranylite on matrix from an uncommon locality at the . The associated label from R.F.D. Parkinson* gives Katherine as locality at the Northern Territory. The bibliography I have checked from these are stays tens of prospects and mines in the Katherine-Darwin area. Detailed information can be found in Crohn (1968) or Gardner et al, (1955).

*Reginald F.D. Parkinson (1928-1993) was a British mineral collector and dealer. Parkinsonite was named after him because he found the mineral.
