Description

Bright lustrous, red-coloured terminated crystals of rutile that grew epitaxially (oriented) on tabular, razor-sharp crystals of metallic hematite. They are gemmy and are present at both sides of the hematite group. Nice representative specimen of this super classic Alpine locality.

Acquired in 1986. Ex Jan Sibtsen #431.
