Description

Two pentagonal dodecahedra, twinned on [110], the so called “Iron Cross Twin”. The pyrite crystals have been replaced by iron oxides, probably goethite. They are included in a hard, recrystallized quartz sandstone, which makes very difficult their extraction. Only a handful specimens could be recovered. A very interesting and uncommon specimen from the Bou Azer district in Morocco.

Self-collected in September 5th/2015 at the Jbel Taghouni.
