Description

Floater cluster of dark green malachite associated to emerald green dioptase and light blue chrysocolla. The surfaces of these species have triangular holes because they are pseudomorph casts after scalenohedral calcite, and now are partially filled by brown iron hydroxides. Representative specimen of this classic locality.

Old time Tantara specimen from the collection of Achiel Moors, a Belgian colonist in the D.R.Congo from 1957 to 1972.
