Description

Interesting pseudomorph of gypsum replacing an halite crystal of hopper habitus. The crystal is slightly deformed by compaction but it is complete, and visible also at the rear side. This piece is from a yet undisclosed locality in the Molina de Segura area, Murcia (Spain), that is rich in clay and salts deposits of Miocene age. Slightly UV fluorescent.

Collected in 2018.
