Description

Pseudo bipyramidal hexagonal hematite crystal group with of black colour and of good metallic lustre. It is completely free of damages, just with the contact to the matrix. These hematites from the Hormuz Island are quite rare in collections but they can be considered as “Classics” cause some crystals have been used as jewellery since at least 1800 years BC (Makovicky et al., 2014).

This specimen was found on March 26th/2019.
