Description

White silky crystals of chrysotile of a good satin lustre, forming parallel fractures on a green serpentinite rock with the fibres oriented perpendicular to the fracture sides. Self-collected on September 2nd, 2015 at the old mines of the Jbel Bou Offroh.

According to Eyssautier (1952), this deposit was intensively mined during the Second World War (mainly from 1943 to 1945), and intermittently afterwards until 1950.
