Description

Big specimen of banded chrysocolla with a central elongated pocket completely covered by a crust of banded agate of intense green fluorescence under short UV, with a surface of tiny transparent sparkly quartz that are not fluorescent. These were called "Gem Silica" and the hard recrystallized specimens were used as lapidary raw material for carvings.

Old specimen, with the number #150 at the rear, that was exchanged 1979 by E.Toussaint. Ex Eudore Toussaint collection.
