Description

Fine group of twinned cerussite crystals, free of damages, associated to yellow rhombohedral calcite and green malachite bundles. The reddish-orange colour in the cerussites and yellow in the calcites is very intense, and is believed to be due to inclusions of fine cuprite needles of the chalcotrichite variety. Choice material that has never been abundant in the market, and now are very scarce in the market.

Acquired in 1983. Ex Georges Vanacker* collection.

*Vanackerite from Tsumeb was named after him.
