Description

Uncommon locality cluster of transparent quartz with clear green and brown phantoms of unidentified species. Even if the main crystal is intact, significant damages are present in some crystals terminations but I decided to upload this piece due to the extreme rarity of such locality, seldom available for quartz or Congo collectors.

Furthermore, it is an old sample, collected before 1960 by Robert Verdoodt, a Belgian colonist in Congo who was working in the laboratories of Union Minière du Haut-Katanga and evacuated to Belgium in 1960 after the beginning of the Congo crisis.
