Description

Pseudocubic etched crystals of quartz coloured blueish-grey by inclusions of magnesio-riebeckite. They are associated to black, euhedral, highly lustrous lenticular hematite and pale white dolomite rhombohedra. Some cavities present free standing hairy crystals of magnesio-riebeckite. This is a self-collected specimen in 2010, at a small outcrop of ophitic rocks (diabase), a very hard subvolcanic igneous rock, located in the Sierra de la Murada, not far from the well-known Los Serranos Quarry (Albatera).
